BLOGGING

This week it will be ONE YEAR since Mr. Ralph died.  A milestone for sure ... and I don't know how I managed the ups and downs.  As well as I could, I know that.  The blogging helps!

In some ways this has been the longest year of my life (so far).  Yet the fact that it is going to be ONE YEAR seems like it went by quickly.  In my mind, I know it is just 365 days either way.  I guess it just depends on the day.

    1. Thanks for acknowledging that. My friend who lost her hubby 20 years ago, still has a sad day. My birthday is the day before. Oregon weather is heating up (thinking 84!!) so we are all going to the Zoo then the kids are making dinner for me. On Friday, we will drive to Mt. Hood and Multnomah Falls for a little bit of sprinkling of ashes (the first). Hoping I will be on even keel.

    2. Sprinkling ashes was a heeling experience for me. I hope it works the same way for you. That's not to say it won't be an emotional day.

  2. I didn't know Mr. Ralph, but I feel I am getting to know you. He must have had a heart as big as yours. Like you say, there isn't any way the wound disappears. Maybe our hearts grow larger around it, too. Wishing you well, A.W.

    1. Thanks. I think I did this Year One just the right way for me. Having friends fly over to Maui for all the holidays (how did God put that all together!??) Ending with family and many Portland friends around . Getting busy with my time. One foot in front of the other!
