QUARANTINE CONFUSION

We have been lucky enough to have 7 sunny days in a row.  A feast for the eyes!

(my building in the background!)

Just off our front patio!
Until the HOA Patrol deems it in violation...

The bird fountain!  Also used as a bath!

  1. Did they say why it's in violation? If I had to guess I'd say the little stones which could scatter and turn ankles or be used to throw at windows. HOA really love to hassle people don't they.

    1. They want people to ASK before we do anything that is not inside the condo. Mainly it depends if you are with the "in" crowd who put pink flamingos everywhere! They still have the stigma of trailer trash to me. We got a four page email giving us our marching orders (some of it was well deserved)

We are going to put Jesse in charge of dealing with the HOA and Landscape and whomever else will talk to us face to face. He stays calm ... and logical ... Kate and I don't!

    2. No other way to explain allowing pink flamingos but not what you've got except for favoritism.

  2. It has been such a treat to have such beautiful March weather. Here on the Washington coast it too has been sunny and warm! It's so lovely to see spring appearing...we can certainly use some joy right now.

    1. I do love the joy of Spring! Trees greening, hoping we get a bird nest, boys can run and play outside. These boys are so entertaining!

  3. Still waiting for "real" spring, but the spring bulbs are coming up...just like normal...like they always do.

    1. We are lucky. Oregon has the best weather of anywhere I've lived (Ohio, Bay Area California, Maui)!

  6. Ouch, the thumb of the HOA. That looks totally attractive in my view. Hope they let you keep it.
Nothing like warm sun on a black coat.

    1. Oh yes, the HOA. I fell out of favor when I quit the Board because of another Board member always (ALWAYS) butting in. She's been on the Board for 20 years ... what was I thinking???

    1. I don't know of any HOAs that are fair, across the board. There was a really horrible one in Hawaii and the discriminated party won millions against the HOA!!!

AND ... there is no legal way to shut one down.
