SUNRISE, SUNSET

Mr. Ralph's birthday is tomorrow.  He turns 82.  It's hard to believe he didn't even make it to 80!  He did everything right.  Exercised.  Flossed.  Moisturized.  Loved.  Traveled.  Then cancer.  It just stinks.

But he LOVED his Maui sunsets!  Last week Beth and David visited for not quite a week.  We did manage to get to the beach each night for a sunset.

  1. Boy, those sunsets really are beautiful. Sadiversaries are bittersweet, aren't they. It's nice to have an excuse to bring out the memories but sad that we can't make anymore.

Since your company is gone, any chance that Honey is still looking for a foster home?

  2. Sadiversaries. I was just thinking. The older I get, if I spent a day feeling sad for all the family/friends I have lost AND their birthdays--I'd be sad all the time. Which I am, because I DO spend the day remembering them. Sigh.

  3. Happy Birthday, Mr. Ralph. You have quite a woman here. Please give her a hug, O.K.?

  4. Lovelovelove to you, Widowsister. I love the title of your blog. It is very socially awkward having a dead husband, or so I find.

    1. EVERYTHING now takes a bit of effort. Eating out alone. Finding and making friends. Discovering travel buddies. It was so nice to have a built in best friend ...

    1. He was the lover of sunsets. It's a nice little bright spot every day ... head out to a beach and watch Mother Nature at work. Last week was very VOGGY thus the orange sunsets. I need to go out tonight while it's clear!
