Oregon is still on lockdown. Restaurants are only open for take away. Grocery stores still limit how many customers in at a time. I continue to buy groceries online with contactless delivery (unless I buy wine, then I have to put my driver's license face down for driver to scan). I stay in my nightgown and robe all day long.
We are staying home for New Year's Eve. Might make a nice dinner or order IN a nice dinner. Boys will get to do a few fireworks. And get to stay up late!
Staying home yet looking forward to saying goodbye to Covid in 2021.
If EVERYONE would just stay home for a month we could get the virus under control. We had a lock-down as severe as yours back last spring but now the restaurants can open to half their capacity. But we still have people with guns picketing the capital and stacking out the houses of our state leaders. It's very scary.
ReplyDeleteOregon officials are caving into demands also. May open schools in January! Our boys will finish the year online. And may continue to be schooled at home ... works way better for our lifestyle (late risers).
DeleteIdiots converged on our capitol building and broke doors and windows. Great role models for our kids, eh? The rioters found out where the mayor lived and he had to move.
It's sad.

ReplyDeleteI may never STOP with home delivery! No extra charge and only once did I have an issue with something one day before expiration date and once we had imperfect produce. I contacted Amazon and now everything I get is wonderful!
DeleteBack in my bubble post Christmas visit to daughter and SIL. Went out this morning for contactless into the trunk grocery order and will probably do a big delivery order later in the week. I have both Walmart membership and a paid membership to instacart that was given to me so why not take advantage! Other than that I am in my apartment or walking in the neighborhood (masked and occasionally waving and chatting to others more than six feet away). It's what we need to do, and I have decided that if I ever want to go on a damned road trip again, this is what I need to do now.
