THE OTHER WOMAN

I've been friends with Jodie for a few years here in Maui.  She is so kind and friendly to me ... and most everyone she meets despite being an introvert.  And we've taken our friendship to another level.

We are living together!  Unbelievable??  We are trying it out for a two week trial.  She was insistent that I live at her house first.  We will each keep our own homes and take it from there.   Last night was our first night together.

I'm a little tired this morning ... she's an early riser.  Me?  Not so much.  Plus sleeping in a different bed (although VERY comfortable).  If I make it through today I think tonight will be even better.  What do people DO this early in the day?  (6:45 am)

She's not a water person so we may just take a walk this morning. This may be very good for me ... to get me up and going.  Stay tuned.

Let me introduce Jodie ~

  1. Are you dog sitting or are you doing a trial adoption? If the latter what will happen to her when you go back to the mainland? You can probably get her shifted over to being a mid-morning instead of an early morning dog. Might take a month of so to make the shift. She looks like a sweetie.

  3. Here I was thinking you and a friend were exploring house-sharing. I thought they must really be compatible, but I think I would want my own bed -- even my own bedroom. Still...to each his own. Then, I saw cutie Jodie!

Now I'm thinking this would be a way I could periodically enjoy the companionship of a dog for a short time by caring for someone else's pet, without assuming the full time ownership for the rest of the dog's life -- or mine!

    1. And pet owners LOVE to have someone reliable and caring to watch their pet. Our Humane Society also needs short term foster Moms or longer term homes! Win/win.

  4. I think you are on to something:) What a great way to help others and have some new experiences and nothing with long term commitments.

    1. And I am the Queen of no long term commitment!! Pet sitters are in BIG demand! I'm doing this just as a friend to Jodie's mom ... but in Portland it's $40+ per day!!
