THE YEAR OF THE HAT

I'm sure I mentioned I'm letting my hair go white.  It's about 4" of white right now with the rest a dull golden blond.  The more white that takes over, the less I'm sure.  It's a long, challenging process to let it all grow out.

So maybe this should be the year of the hat!

Returning to this color??

  1. You look good in hats...white or yellow hair. We used to call your childhood hair color, "toe-head' kids for some reason I've long forgotten.

    1. The “tow” in “towhead,” according to the Oxford English Dictionary, refers to “the fibre of flax, hemp, or jute prepared for spinning.” Since flax is light in color, blond people (especially children) are sometimes referred to as “towheads”

But as a kid, all I could picture was an ugly big tow! Why would people insult me??????

  2. You look very pretty in hats, I wear them to protect my skin from the sun (doctor's orders), and hats also have a hint of glam to them. I like your two with flowers to the side.

    1. Thanks. I'm not used to wearing hats except in the sun. But I'm going to get myself used to it!

  3. I think you'll look really nice with white hair. It may seem like a big difference to you but maybe not so much to others. You're lucky you have light hair.

  4. When I keep my hair curly, it looks like white highlights. With white hair, I will always have to take that five minutes to put on makeup!

  5. You wear hats really well! I'd say go with the flow and if a hat is appropriate, wear one :) (maybe a head scarf???)

    Happy New Year!

    1. In Maui I would wear a flower over one ear .... but now that shows all the WHITE around me face. I'll keep trying different things!
