DST or PST
There's been so much talk about staying on Daylight Savings Time. Our state legislature has voted YES, keep us on DST ... but only if surrounding states will do it also. I don't quite get that kind of thinking ... just do what our people want and stay on DST. We are all capable of doing the one hour of math required. Heck! We can even set up our phones to show us.

I started a new blog, Aging Awkwardly! Come visit! https://mrsjblockhart.blogspot.com/
Time zones and DST has been driving me crazy since I started e-Baying again. Throw military time in there and I'm always scratching my head about when to start auctions California time to end when I want them to in Michigan time.
ReplyDeleteI never thought about that! Date and military time!!
DeleteThe boys will have fond memories of their camping trip in the woods... as will their parents. I can imagine how excited the boys will be to tell you all about it:) Happy Times!
ReplyDeleteAnd I left the day after they returned so we will have lots to catch up on!!
DeleteDo you have a blog?
No, I don't have a blog.
DeleteYES! Stay on DST.
ReplyDeleteI agree!!
DeleteI don't see the purpose in changing times once in spring and then back in fall.
ReplyDeleteOur state Idaho have 2 time zone and there been talk of having one.
Coffee is on
Coffee with Peppy! Thanks for commenting. I don't see any good reason to change either. Kinda like kids having the summer off to help in the fields .... we need year round school with several 10-14 days breaks ...
DeleteMy humble opinion.
Such cute pictures of your family enjoying summer fun! Visiting your blog for the 1st time. I live in Arizona; we don't do DST and I love it! Lived in many a state that did and hated the adjustments twice a year getting used to hour lost or hour gained. We have family in California so we are half of the year on their time zone, half not. We just adjust accordingly. I don't think I would ever want to go back to living some place where DST was at :)
ReplyDeletebetty
Thanks for reading AND commenting! I just read A Bench with a View for today .... and I'll be coming back! Looking forward to some good reading!
DeleteThankfully, Arizona remains on MST (Mountain Standard Time) throughout the year. The Four Corners area used to change to daylight saving time in conjunction with the three contiguous states, as it made more sense physically. Not sure what they do now.
ReplyDeleteYour young ones--of all ages--look like they are having the time of their lives! :-)
I just wish wish wish they would STOP with the changing time!!!
DeleteCamping with the boys at this age is incredible fun! No need for toys or screens. Although Mr. 8.5 has a Gizmo Watch so we can call them or they can call us.
Thanks for popping in and leaving your comments!
